HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE

This grandfather of all people-skills books was first published in 1937 and sold an amazing 15 million copies. According to Dale Carnegie financial success is 15 % professional knowledge and 85 % “the ability to express ideas, to assume leadership and to arouse enthusiasm among people.” Dale Carnegie is known for teaching valuable skills such building greater self-confidence, strengthening people skills, improving communication skills and developing leadership skills. This book is as useful today as it was when it was first published after all I’m sure we all want to know the secret on how to win friends and influence people!

Carnegie focuses on fundamental techniques for handling people without making them feel manipulated. Carnegie states that you can make someone want to do what you want them to do by seeing the situation from the other person’s point of view and “arousing in the other person an eager want.” In this book you’ll learn how to make people like you, win people over to your way of thinking, and change people without causing offence or arousing resentment. For example “let the other person feel that the idea is his or hers” and “talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other person.”

I Hope you enjoy this book… and don’t forget to add your book review, comments or questions on my blog at the end of the month.

Have a wonderful day

Love from Lili Jalo

I have been using the principles in this book for the last 30 years and I still refer to it on a monthly, daily basis.

As an Accountant, Dale Carnegies book and course have change my life for the positive. After the course I received promotions, have a consistent positive attitude and less worry and stress and actually enjoy giving presentations.

If you haven’t take the Dale Carnegie Course…I would strongly suggest you do!

    GREAT BOOK! GREAT COURSE!
